About

Greetings! I’m Maggie, your friendly resident hot mess, and let’s be honest, I’ve earned that title. I’ve always been a wonderfully chaotic whirlwind, and at this point, I’m pretty sure it’s my lifelong gig. Like many of you lovable disasters, I’m a perpetual work in progress—but hey, that just means I’m consistently entertaining! My delightful disarray keeps life interesting, makes me relatable, and provides me with a front-row seat to the wacky antics of fellow hot messes everywhere. I also have seem to have a special talent for crafting run-on sentences that could put even the best of writers to shame.

What’s the secret ingredient that makes me, well, me? Picture this: I’m a delightfully quirky blend of fiercely independent and compassionately stubborn—think of me as an ambivert, leaning slightly more towards the introverted side, who just happens to be a charmingly amusing control freak goofball! But fear not, I only try to steer my own ship; if it starts sailing off-course, my eye twitches like I’m a cartoon character ready to explode in a cloud of steam. It’s hysterical in hindsight, and probably just as funny in the moment for anyone who’s not caught in my whirlwind. Often I even crack up myself if I notice just how ridiculous I’m acting before it spirals out of control. A healthy sense of humor is absolutely vital for survival! 😁 I love poking fun at my own antics—not in a self-critical way, but more like a “wow, I really give myself a lot of material; it’d be a crime not to laugh!” After all, embracing the chaos is what being fabulously messy is all about!

I absolutely adore gardening (even if I can’t stand it when my hands get dirty – go figure! 🤦🏻‍♀️), cooking, baking, capturing life’s moments with photography, and oh yes, animals! My household includes a lovable lunatic of a dog who acts like he’s auditioning for the role of “Jealous Baby Monster” – and trust me, he deserves an Oscar for that performance. Not to mention my three turtles, who are the epitome of chill, probably plotting world domination from their cozy little tanks. And let’s talk about tools – dear me, do I love my tools! The nut (so to speak 😏) didn’t fall far from the tree and I’ve definitely inherited my former mechanic father’s obsession with tools. Not just mechanical and power tools but also gardening and kitchen tools. If you’ve ever used a culinary blowtorch to make a crème brûlée, you get it. And if you haven’t you’re missing out!
